The book, Writing to Change the World, by Mary Pipher has changed my perspective on writing. Writing isn't something I enjoy. It's also something I struggle in. With this book, I was able to come up with ways to improve my writing. One thing that has been stuck in my mind since I read the book was to take breaks when needed. Whenever I would write, I would never take a break. Pipher says that if you ever are stuck on what to write about or if you just need a break then you should take one. She says that going out for a walk or something can actually benefit you from writing. When you go out to take break, you come back with a fresh mind and new perspective. I've been taking that into consideration and I find it to be very helpful with my writing.
